The British School of Boston was the second of six British Schools of America, opening its doors in September 2000. The unique and international style of the school has proven popular and attractive to a wide variety of American, British and international families in the Boston metro area. Today, our enrollment comprises approximately 300 students, with the majority being American and British. Over twenty nationalities are represented.
The British School of Boston moved in 2004 to the Showa Boston campus in the Moss Hill section of Jamaica Plain to accommodate the growing number of students and to expand the breadth of academic offerings. BSB shares a 40 acre campus with Showa Women's University satellite campus whose main campus is in Tokyo, Japan.
The British School of Boston aims to provide a broadly based and tailored British style education for students from Nursery to Year 13 (US Preschool to 12th Grade). Delivered by energetic teachers and staff, our curriculum represents the very best of current practice in the United Kingdom with an international perspective appropriate to its American home. The diversity of the student body is not merely respected but cherished and celebrated.
