More progress today as dormer rafters are lifted onto walls with our Tarheel Crane. Now we just have to set them all in place and bolt them to the walls and ridgepole

More progress today as dormer rafters are lifted onto walls with our Tarheel Crane. Now we just have to set them all in place and bolt them to the walls and ridgepole.

Cabin Update 8/22/04

Back from another season in Alaska and back to work on the cabin. Picture taken 8-22-04,..Ridgepole has been set and rafters also spread and on most of the home.

Back from another season in Alaska and back to work on the cabin. Picture taken 8-22-04,..Ridgepole has been set and rafters also spread and on most of the home. Really wish I had a pic of the “Tarheel Crane” in action setting the Ridgepole… truly a sight to see… Especially when I had to shimmy up the R.P.S.L.’s using my self climbing deer stand to spike in the Ridgepole with rebar, and the Ridgepole was pretty much balanced by itself on the R.P.S.L.’s. after the log tongs we used with our Tarheel Crane gave way and the Ridgepole just sat there perfect.
